Wayne Murrey, 49, of Kennett Square, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at the Chester County Hospital. He was born on March 15, 1954 in West Chester to Jesse Edward Murrey, Sr. and Mary Ellen Scott Murrey.

Wayne graduated from Kennett Consolidated School.

Wayne worked at Kennetey Fabric Yarn Company for the past 14 years in Kennett Square. In his earlier years he did office cleaning with Samson Cleaning Company. Wayne loved to DJ in the area and was known as ?Disco Murph?.

In his early years Wayne played baseball and was a devoted Eagles fan, going to the games wearing paraphanalia. He had the cups, shirts, coates, blankets and all the collectables. He also loved and supported the Philadelphia Phillies.

Wayne is survived by three brothers, Lester E. ?Gino? Scott, Sr. of Denver, CO, Minister Howard W. Murrey, Sr. of Kennett Square, Randy C. Murrey of Clayton, MD; six sisters, Elizabeth Milton of Smyrna, DE, Jestine Thomas of Atlantic City, NJ, Sandra M. Murrey of Wilmington, DE and Helena M. Murrey, Amanda L. Murrey and Annetta J. Murrey all of Lancaster, PA; longtime girlfriend, Sherry Devonshire; 28 nephews and 16 nieces.
